I had a semi-V Mitchell early 80's hull....it was one of the smoothest riding small boats I have had (and I have had 17 in the last 20 years!). I haven't run a fiberglass small boat in years, but aluminum jons props and tunnels, several+ to current in the past 30 years. Look for the posts with the 14ft Alumacraft tunnel, about a week ago.It's pretty dry and takes a chop decent, not as smooth as a caimen but still handles very nicely. Much better ride than a Glide or glades skiff. Poles shallow, but not near as shallow as a glades skiff or Glide. I would say it's a 5"- 6" boat with a smaller tiler. Poles about the same depth as a Caimen but has better manners on the pole.The Boost is a very impressive casting rod that you may never need to replace. If you are a very good caster and looking for a premium world class casting rod that competes with $900 rods, then also consider the Waterworks Lamson Saltwater Series. No complaints or issues so far and I do everything from poling for tailing reds to trolling passes/beaches. Simple Skiff = Conchfish16 kit builders.
